What people come in for

The reasons people book a visit

These are what people tell me they come in for, not promises. Results vary, and acupuncture works alongside your doctor's care.

  • Back, neck and shoulder tension

Aches that come from sitting, lifting or sleeping badly.

  • Headaches and tension

A tight jaw, a stiff neck and the headaches that come with them.

  • Sleep and stress

A busy mind at night and a body that won't settle.

  • Digestion

A touchy stomach or an irregular gut, often made worse by stress.

  • Tiredness

A flat, worn-out feeling that doesn't lift with rest.

  • Children's everyday complaints

Tummy aches, restless nights and a child who is hard to settle, after their doctor has seen them.

Honest limits

What acupuncture does not do

It does not replace your doctor, your medicine or emergency care, and it is not a test or a diagnosis. I do not tell anyone to stop a medicine, and I do not promise an outcome.

  • Call 911

For sudden, severe pain, chest pain or trouble breathing.

  • See a doctor first

For a high fever, new weakness or numbness, or a loss of bladder or bowel control.

  • Children

See their doctor first for a fever that won't go down, a stiff neck or any sudden change.

Not sure it fits?

Write or call before you book. I'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense to come.
